Description

WONDERFUL antique Victorian ornate .900 and sterling silver and genuine emerald engraved cross pendant with chain. This necklace features a beautiful antique cross pendant that is 2 5/8” long by 1 1/2” wide and that weighs 11.3 grams. It hangs on its original, sturdy, 24” sterling silver curb link chain that weighs 7.2 grams for a total weight of 18.5 grams. The cross is truly lovely and well made. It is set with genuine, step cut emerald gemstones. The emerald at center is approximately 5 mm in size. This cross has lovely engraved/chased detail on the front with patterns in a starburst type design. The emeralds are prong set in elegant raised bezels. The emeralds have lovely color and they are in very good condition as is the cross and chain. The cross is stamped “900” on the interior of the bail and the chain is stamped “Sterling”, “A & Z” on the attached link near the spring ring clasp. The pendant has been professionally tested as, at least, .900 silver and the chain has been tested as sterling silver. The emeralds have been examined and verified by a certified gemologist. This is a truly fine example of antique jewelry. This necklace has no damage other than age appropriate surface wear and/or oxidation. It could use a thorough cleaning. I gave it a light polish, but I do not like to over-clean fine antique jewelry. ***PLEASE NOTE: Any display items pictured, including antique ring boxes, are NOT included.*** I request payment within two days of purchase and will ship within two days of payment via USPS Priority mail.
